Construction Engineering: University Program with Satbayev University

The Construction Engineering program is delivered by HSE IPAA in academic partnership with Satbayev University — Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K. I. Satpayev. It is university-level training in construction engineering: students follow the university's educational program, and the education document is issued by the partner university.

The construction industry is changing fast: new materials and digital design tools are emerging, and requirements for the quality and safety of buildings are rising. That is why the program combines fundamental engineering education with practice.

How the partnership works

Satbayev University is responsible for the content of the educational program and for issuing the education document. HSE IPAA provides the learning platform, a flexible study format and student support. The goals of the partnership are:

• to make higher engineering education accessible to a wide audience, including working professionals in the industry;
• to bring modern educational technologies and standards into the learning process;
• to make graduates more competitive on the labor market.

Duration and format

You can study while you work — especially convenient for professionals already involved in construction projects who want to obtain an engineering qualification or deepen their knowledge.

• For students with a university degree — 2 years of study;
• For college graduates — 3 years of study.

Classes are held online and offline, including dual learning technologies that combine theory with practice.

What the program covers

Students master the full range of construction disciplines of the university program, including:

• structural design calculations;
• BIM technologies and digital design tools;
• application of Eurocodes;
• modeling the full construction cycle;
• construction project management.

As a result, graduates gain not only academic knowledge but also practical skills that are in demand on the market. After completing the program, graduates can continue their studies at the master's level.
