Who is the mock exam for?
Candidates preparing for CAP, CIPA, DipIFR and CIMA exams, as well as exams under the Auditor, Professional Accountant and Mediator programs: anyone who wants to test themselves before the real exam.
What does the mock exam include?
An exam in your chosen subject under conditions close to the real thing, grading of your work, a detailed review of mistakes with the instructor, answers in exam booklet format, materials and a video recording.
Will the questions be reviewed?
Yes. Right after grading, the instructor goes over weak areas and mistakes in your solutions with you in detail.
When and in what format is the mock exam held?
On the eve of the official exam, strictly according to the schedule. You can take part in person or online; the exam, grading and review all take 1 day.
What document do I receive after taking part?
An HSE IPAA certificate of participation in the mock exam. CAP and CIPA certificates are issued by CIPAEN based on the official exams held at HSE IPAA in Moscow; DipIFR, CIMA and other qualifications are awarded by the organizations that hold the relevant exams.

Why take a mock exam
Passing any certification requires long and thorough preparation in every subject. HSE IPAA runs exam preparation for CAP, CIPA, DipIFR, CIMA and other programs in person and online, scheduling it as close to the exam dates as possible. The final stage of preparation is a mock exam for each subject separately, on the eve of the official exam.
Questions are written according to current requirements and the announcement for the current exam session. They are prepared by instructors experienced in qualification exam preparation who hold international qualifications themselves (ACCA, DipIFR (Russian), CIA, DipIPSAS, CIMA and others).
A mock exam shows you what the real exam requirements look like and helps you master the method and technique of solving problems, as well as the rules for setting out answers in the exam booklet. Official CAP and CIPA exams are held at HSE IPAA, at its exam center in Moscow, and certificates are issued by CIPAEN. Exams for other qualifications are taken with the organizations that run the relevant certification, and those organizations award the qualification.
